Holistic Counselling in Brunswick Heads, the Byron Bay region, and Online.
An integrative, holistic approach to counselling
I believe that counselling needs to include the body, the nervous system, and the mind. We are all unique, and a one-size-fits-all approach does not meet the diverse needs of my clients.
I’ve trained in a range of body–mind modalities so I can adapt my approach to support the individual in front of me. This also gives you choice in how we work together, you can choose what you want to focus on in our sessions and the modalities that resonate most with you. Together, we can create a treatment plan that feels aligned, supportive, and responsive to your needs.
If you are searching for a psychologist or counsellor in Byron Bay who understands the deep connection between mind and body, I offer a safe, inclusive, and compassionate space where you can explore and process your experiences. Whether you are navigating a difficult life transition, stress, anxiety, grief, or wanting to improve your overall mental and emotional wellbeing, the focus is on supporting your process, your insights, and your connection with yourself.
What’s the difference between Somatic Trauma Therapy and Holistic Counselling?
Somatic Trauma Therapy is focused specifically on working with trauma as the primary concern. It draws on specialised training to support the processing of trauma held within the body and nervous system, helping to gently resolve survival responses and restore a sense of safety and regulation.
Holistic Counselling is a broader approach that supports your overall mental health and wellbeing. While it can include working with trauma, it also addresses a wider range of experiences such as stress, anxiety, life transitions, and emotional challenges. This approach integrates a range of modalities to support you as a whole person - not just your symptoms or a single issue.
"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change." - Carl Rogers.
Who I support
I work with women and children aged 7 and above. Holistic counselling acknowledges that our mental, emotional, and physical health are deeply interconnected. Rather than viewing challenges in isolation, I support you to understand the whole of your experience.
I offer personalised one-to-one counselling for women and and children navigating a diverse range of needs, including:
Anxiety and Stress Management: Developing practical tools for self-regulation and skills for stabilising the nervous system.
Grief and Loss: Providing a compassionate space to process the many forms of loss, from bereavement to significant life changes.
Health and Psychosomatic Symptoms: Exploring the intersection of mental and physical health, particularly where emotional stress is experienced as physical discomfort, pain and unexplained symptoms.
Attachment and Relationships: Understanding the patterns that shape how we connect with others and ourselves through attachment-based support.
Life Transitions: Supporting you through the uncertainty of change, whether in career, family dynamics, or personal identity.
An integrated holistic and evidence-based toolkit. Your body, your choice.
