About Pam Kirkley ~ Flow with Pam
About Me
Hello, I'm Pam Kirkley, also known as Flow with Pam. Thanks for finding me.
My work is my passion. I’m a holistic counsellor, trauma therapist, accredited social worker and Somatic Experiencing®Practitioner (SEP). My work is complemented by my training as a yoga therapist and breathwork practitioner, and these practices inform a body-based approach to supporting clients to reconnect with their inner wisdom.
I offer specialised, high-quality support for individuals navigating mental health challenges, and the deep impacts of trauma, including shock trauma, and complex trauma (including attachment and developmental trauma). My practice is based in the Byron Bay region of New South Wales, at a clinic in Brunswick Heads. I also provide online counselling across Australia and worldwide.

Somatic & Holistic
Somatic Experiencing® (SEP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Gestalt Psychotherapy, Yoga Therapy, Rebirthing Breathwork, Pranayama (yogic breathing techniques), Relaxation Strategies.
Evidence-Based
Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focussed Therapy, Psycho-education, Positive Psychology.
Who I work with
I work with women and children aged 7 and above who are in a place where healing work can be meaningful. For therapeutic work to be effective, there needs to be enough safety and stability to support deeper, more meaningful work. I work with the following needs and presentations:
Trauma: Specialising in supporting people with shock trauma, complex and developmental trauma.
Anxiety and panic attacks: With a focus on restoring nervous system regulation.
Emotional/nervous system dysregulation: Building a flexible nervous system with more regulation. Moving out of fight, flight, freeze, fawn states and into more safety and connection.
Grief and loss: Providing compassionate support through all forms of loss, including bereavement, life transitions, and the loss of health or identity.
Relationships: Develop communication skills, set healthy boundaries, and foster deeper, more authentic connections with self and others.
Mobility challenges and disabilities: Providing compassionate, body-aware support via yoga therapy, breathwork practices and relaxation strategies.
Social work supervision and leadership experience
I am a social work supervisor with 12 years of post-qualifying experience in social work. My leadership experience includes working as a team leader in family violence and family services, and clinical lead at headspace youth mental health. I have supervised a broad range of allied health clinicians including social workers, clinical psychologists, registered psychologists, counsellors and mental health occupational therapists. My broader experience covers child protection, oncology, out-of-home care, adoption, school counselling, kinship, and parenting.
I am currently available for social work supervision and professional coaching.
