If you are finding it difficult to move past a painful experience, or if the past feels like it is constantly intruding on your present, please know you are not alone. Trauma can leave you feeling isolated, anxious, disconnected from yourself and the life you wish to live.
I offer compassionate, specialist Trauma Therapy and PTSD Treatment to support you in addressing the root cause(s) of trauma. Somatic Experiencing (SE) is s l o w work. Trauma happens too soon, too fast. Therefore, SE is slow, allowing the nervous system to build sustained regulation through practice. This process increases its capacity to tolerate activation, developing a more resilient and flexible nervous system, and ensures there is enough time and presence to integrate new positive information and embodied experiences. We do this by creating safety in the therapy room through boundary work, building agency with consent and preferences (experiential practice), and building the capacity to self-regulate before exploring trauma in safe, titrated ways.
I work with clients in Brunswick Heads, the wider Byron Bay region, and provide secure online sessions across Australia and worldwide. My approach is deeply rooted in the principles of Somatic Experiencing (SE) a powerful body-based method developed by Dr. Peter Levine, along with integrated body-mind modalities such as DBT, CBT, Gestalt Therapy skills, and relaxation techniques (trauma-informed yoga therapy and gentle breath practices).

Finding Your Way Back: Specialist Trauma Counselling
Trauma is not just an event that happened; it is the lasting impact of that event on your nervous system, your relationships, and your sense of self. Whether you are dealing with Complex Trauma, the echoes of Childhood Emotional Neglect, Shock Trauma, or the debilitating symptoms of PTSD, our approach is rooted in the understanding that healing from trauma is possible.
I have extensive experience working with clients who have experienced of the different forms of family violence, coercive control, sexual assaults and sexual abuse, and the profound impact of intergenerational trauma. I also have extensive experience working with children who have experienced childhood abuse and neglect.
My training tells me that true healing involves more than just talking about what happened. It requires a safe, Trauma-Informed Care environment where you can gently and slowly explore traumatic experiences that are held within the autonomic nervous system. When enough safety is created in the therapeutic relationship, its possible to explore and process the activation that's been held in the body, to release stored emotions, tension, patterns, unexpressed and inhibited movements and words in the presence of a safe, empathetic, supportive other. I help you to integrate your experiences, allowing your nervous system to find more expansion, release, capacity and peace. This is a collaborative process, where you are always in charge.
HOW I CAN SUPPORT YOU
I can support you with:
•Overwhelming anxiety and panic attacks related to past events.
•Flashbacks, nightmares, and intrusive thoughts.
•Stuck nervous system patterns (stuck in fight, flight, freeze or fawn)
•Difficulty forming or maintaining healthy relationships.
•Chronic feelings of shame, guilt, or low self-worth.
