"Trauma is not what happens to us, but what we hold inside in the absence of an empathetic witness" - Peter Levine
Thank you for your interest in the therapies I provide for mental health, trauma, attachment, and the intersection between mental and physical health. As a mental health therapist, my focus also extends to symptoms and trauma held within the body..
What to expect:
After you complete the contact form, I will arrange a free 20-minute connection call, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and explore whether I’m the right fit for your needs.
I'll ask you to complete an intake form so I can get some more information about you before our first session. This will include information about confidentiality, consent and data protection.
A therapy session can incorporate a range of modalities, which can be integrated into mental health therapy based on your needs. If you have a strong preference for a specific approach, we can discuss this during a connection call, the initial session, or at any point in your therapy journey.:
Somatic Experiencing®
Gestalt Psychotherapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Solution-Focussed Therapy
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) - distress tolerance skills
Counselling skills
Positive Psychology
Relaxation strategies (yoga nidra and meditation)
Breathing strategies and diaphragmatic breathwork
As a mental health clinician and qualified yoga teacher and yoga therapist, I integrate aspects of yoga into mental health therapy where appropriate. However, due to ethical and legal guidelines, I can only incorporate certain elements, such as breathwork, meditation, and some basic relaxation postures, to remain in my scope of practice as a mental health clinician. More comprehensive yoga therapy sessions, including structured movement practices, are offered separately. If you’re interested in exploring this further, we can discuss which pathway would best support your therapy goals.
I see a diverse range of clients. I accept self-referrals and referrals from GPs and other professionals.
If you would like to book a session, click through to the contact form and submit an enquiry. I respond to website enquiries within 1-2 days.
